blend with me

Hi guys,

School started for me 3 weeks back and I hate to say this but, it's already getting extremely draining and I feel so tired often it's unbelievable... :( Work is already starting to pile up and I'm already having late nights more and more frequently so inevitable I'm getting unhealthier and I feel lethargic at times. I guess you can relate if you're in school too, hate it sometimes :(

Anyway, last week I started out on a new daily routine to make sure I don't continue falling into this unending deadly cycle, in order to keep myself feeling fresh everyday and of course to stay healthy while being a busy bee :)) I gym about 3 times a week now, nothing too strenuous but just enough to keep my mind and body active! Also, I drink fruit juice every morning (and I've been doing so for the past week unfailingly :P) One of my favourite ways of making a great morning juice to keep myself revitalised is blending. I used to really hate blending fruits because ice always seems to get stuck (haha) and then my old blender would make this really weird noise and the fruits get half blended and it ends up tasting kinda nasty lol. And the cleaning after was always such a chore :( Well a few weeks back I received this new blender and I thought it was worth giving blending a second chance after I heard numerous positive reviews!

First thing I heard was that it was convenient and portable and I was like whaaaat, how is blending ever convenient? That's until I saw it. It's part of my daily routine now and I have to say that I actually really am in love with it. You probably might have seen some pictures of it on my Instagram, where there was a collage of me holding up this bottle of fruits and then a bottle of well blended juice. That's the SAME bottle that I actually blended my fruits in. Well anyway today I just wanted to share with you guys some of my favourite yummy fruit blend recipes that you should think about trying too!

First off, these are the list of my favourite fruits that I love putting together. They are not only healthy but super yummy too. After trying a whole lot of different fruits, I found myself going back to the same few fruits :) Blending a different variety of fruits everyday is so much fun!

1. Strawberries

These yummy pieces of joy are loaded with anti-oxidants, vitamin C, vitamin K, potassium, folic acid, calcium, iodine, magnesium, manganese, potassium and healthy omega-3 fats.

2. Bananas

When you need sufficient energy to last the whole day of taxing work/school, bananas are a great option! Bananas help sustain your blood sugar and protect against muscle cramps during workouts and nighttime leg cramps too :)

3. Blueberries

Magical, magical blueberries.  These are not only practically fat-free, but also loaded with fiber to keep you fuller longer. (So less snacking :P) Blueberries are also an excellent source of manganese, which plays an important part in bone development and converting carbohydrates and fats into energy.

4. Mangoes

These are simply delightful to eat. But apart from tasting heavenly, mangoes also help prevent cancer, lower cholesterol and clears the skin!

5. Raspberries

Raspberries contain strong antioxidants that fight against cancer, heart and circulatory diseases and age related decline. To looking younger!

6. Lemons

So recently I've read many articles about how lemons are a great way to lose weight and boost your immune system. Well, I think it's true! I religiously add lemons into either my water, salad, fruit blends, tea everyday and I not only love the citrus taste it adds into my food/drink but it also really keeps me awake and makes me feel really refreshed :)

___________

So far these are my FAVOURITE fruit blends after trying out various concoctions. You can see that strawberry is always somehow in the mix because, well, I just love my strawberries :) Having said that it's still up to you to try out and see what you really like :)

1. Strawberry and Banana
2. Strawberry, Raspberry, Blueberries with Lemon  (Berry yummy!)
3. Strawberry and Mango with Yakult :P

Yes, I love adding Yakult or Lemon into my blends because they add this extremely alluring taste to it & makes me feel surprisingly refreshed.

So this blender...is just fantastic. The size is perfect for 1 to 2 people which is great because I usually just blend my fruits, change the cap and it transforms into a water bottle! On days where I'm rushing for class, I usually bring the bottle with me to school and when I'm done I'll go to the water cooler and refill it with water to last me till the day ends :)

It's been 3 months,

Hi :)

S u m m e r holidays make a list of to-dos a must have. Here's mine & the ones I've completed so far. I will continue to cross them out when I've completed them & update regularly on my progress :)

  • Ride a rollercoaster
  • Make homemade pizza
  • Catch fireworks with someone special

  • Go to a museum
  • Make a video
  • Sell some of my clothes / Clear my wardrobe

So this is basically it. Simple things, many simple things. So simple that I often forget how much joy they bring and don't do them at all. Also it's important that I complete most of the things on the list so that I can work hard unabated next semester.

Hopefully, you decide to create a similar list too :)

Anyway many have been asking why I privatised my blog, and for such a long while too. It was largely because I didn't like my previous layout & I don't need you to say it but I was aware that the quality of my posts were, comparatively, dismal. Mostly because I perceived it as a perfunctory courtesy more than anything else. Shutting it down permanently was a legitimate consideration for awhile but it did feel different - like a bad different - so I decided against it.

Also I took down all of my previous blog posts because the formatting and fonts went crazy after I changed the layout of my blog. It's alright, it's not like you missed much.

:)
